Mizu was founded in 2008 by Jussi Oksanen and Brad Kremer. Frustrated and embarrassed by the money spent and waste created by simply hydrating themselves, the two decided to find a solution to their problem.

Although reusable water containers aren’t new, Jussi and Brad felt that the current bottle offering hadn’t evolved beyond a camping, hiking and yoga demographic-and they certainly weren’t speaking to action sports.

Like all concepts and start-ups, there’s much more to the story, but on a “down-day” in Alaska a leap was made and Mizu created. A company designed to fit the design and lifestyle of action sports one with the ideals of bringing a new way of thinking to the youth through its products and authentic messaging.
