June's Custom of the Month feature goes to our friends over at GoPro. Find out why they chose Mizu to keep their media partners, athletes and staff all hydrated for this year's GoPro Mountain Games.

How did you first hear about the Mizu Custom program?

Being part of the action sports community paved the way for Mizu and GoPro to cross paths and ultimately join forces. The intersection between Mizu and GoPro is very apparent – as numerous GoPro employees rock their personal Mizu bottles or have worked with Mizu team members on previous initiatives. For the 2016 GoPro Mountain Games, we wanted a customized bottle solution to keep our hosted media, social advocates, athletes and onsite staff hydrated. Mizu was the universal choice. We were excited to work with a company who holds likeminded values. And as luck would have it, we were able to hang out with Mizu Ambassador, Chelsea Yamase, all weekend! Our two communities are interconnected by the incredible and adventurous people who share a similar lifestyle.

What about Mizu and their custom program made it a great fit for your brand?

GoPro is dedicated to inspiring adventure, encouraging global communities to pursue their passions, producing amazing content, and in turn sharing these incredible stories with the world. Mizu and GoPro have similar objectives by providing durable, high quality products that enable people to get outside and do what they love. Each year we return to the GoPro Mountain Games, we are blown away by Vail’s stunning landscapes. We commend Mizu for being part of the community that works to protect and conserve the natural beauty of our planet, for all of us to enjoy for years to come.

 

What is your favorite product in the Mizu line up and how did you choose your custom product?

The V8 bottle that Mizu created for the GoPro Mountain Games was perfect! We loved the size, shape, color and quality the product offered. The media we’re stoked to have a Mizu in their VIP gift bags. Not to mention, every GoPro staff member working the event wanted one, making the custom V8 one of the most sought after products at the GoPro Mountain Games. From yoga, to kayaking, to mountain biking, and hiking the rugged and sleek stainless steel Mizu kept us hydrated during our very active weekend. Our Mizu and GoPro was all we needed to confidently push the limits at altitude. It was the ideal bottle to compliment an adventurous trip to Vail or beyond.

Does your brand support a cause initiative?

GoPro for a Cause works with all types of individuals and organizations to help support their movements, share their stories, and inspire the world. Right now, we’re working specifically with the Oceanic Preservation Society to help build connections between people and nature for a cleaner, healthier planet.

How does your brand live a Mizu Life?

At GoPro, we’re dedicated to creating and sharing experiences of those who dare to follow their life’s passions. Like Mizu, GoPro not only creates products for an active and adventurous lifestyle, but we live that lifestyle too. Whether it’s climbing mountains in Vail or creating new software for our cameras, we have creative and passionate ideas that lead us to reach new possibilities and inspire others to do the same. Nick Woodman, our founder and CEO, started an initiative called LIVE IT – where for 2 hours every Thursday (from 1-3pm) all GoPro employees are encouraged to go out and do something they love – surf, run, hike, mountain bike, learn guitar, you name it. LIVE IT. LOVE IT.
